Important Note: I admit some of these traps are just re-hashes of previous ones or is simply a combination of two traps...>>; Thinking of these are hard you know. XD Also I admit now I've kinda scrimped on the descriptions on some of these if I could find a picture that better helps illustrate what I had in mind. ^_^ Pictures tend to help where words cannot go so easily without producing a mouthful.


50 Traps Theme Project

Cord/Ribbon/Ect. Based Traps

1. Prayer Beads...inspiring religion through forced prayer.

This trap involves a set of three long prayer beads that are possessed be the spirit of a malevolent priest. All three beads are anchored to a metal ring in the ground. One of the beads chains is wrapped and entangled around the wrists like a pair of handcuffs, forcing a type of "prayer" hand position. The other two chains are wrapped/entangled around each ankle, preventing the captured from leaving the temple/church until the prayer is done...which could be quite some time.

2. Pink Ribbon: Now tantalizing more than just your cat.

The character caught in this trap has had two different sets of thumbcuffs locked around each thumb with the other end linked to her belt loops. This prevents her from being able to move her hands anywhere but her waist area. The catch comes in that her ankles have had pink ribbon tied tightly around them, with the ends of this ribbon anchored to the ground. The ribbon is too tight for her to pull free, and if it weren't for the thumbcuffs she could just untie the ribbon and walk off.

3. High heels + Falling asleep in class = You were asking for it.

This version of the trap simply consists of a chain wrapped tightly around each ankle and padlocked on, then attaching a separate chain to each side of the ankle chain as it runs under her shoe in the gap between the heel and the toe. This prevents the high heel from being pulled off unless the chain is removed first. As an additional irritation a third chain can be added to the ankle chain to anchor the trapped person to a heavy object, so she cannot escape her already humiliating situation.

4. The problem with big game snare traps...they don't discriminate.

In this trap, the girl stumbled into either a single snare trap or a set of them, trapping either one or both ankles. For those who don't know, a snare trap is traditionally a circle of rope that when stepped into tightens around the leg and tethers the victim to something heavy. The misfortune for this girl is that (the "why" depending on the snare) the snare is a newer model and she can't seem to escape from it.

If the snare is made from rope: The release knot is covered by a rope wrapping and the knot cannot be loosed, which is so tight at this point slipping her feet out is impossible.

If the snare is made from mesh wire: The wiring has a locking clasp which prevents the loop/s from being loosened without a special key.

5. Sneakers aren't safe either, and some days the narrator just doesn't want you to win.

Reason you don't want to fall asleep in class number two: The girl wearing sneakers had her shoe laces removed and replaced with thin chains, which were then pulled as tightly as possible (as with certain sneakers if the laces are too tight you can't pull them off without loosening them) and then padlocked to remain at that tension level. Problem #2 originates in that the school has a special parking security system. Two upside down "J" hooks stick up out of the ground, acting as spike strips if anyone tries to back out of a lot without using a pass key. Every night these hooks retract into the ground so that only a small bump of metal is visable. The girl trips over these while they are still raised, and her shoelace chains hook around these hooks just as the retract into the ground, effectively anchoring her shoes to the pavement until morning when the system re-activates.

6. Why watching your step is important in the jungle.

The plant looks much like a three layered cake made of green icing to blend into it's surroundings, laying in wait with a large hole at the top of the plant serving as the mouth. Whenever something falls into the mouth, the top layer tightens and roots on the inside of the plant bind up the meal as the insides slowly fill with acid. Normally things like birds or too curious mice are the food...but one mis-placed step and the girl's foot or hand will be in the worst tug of war game ever.

7. Why watching your step is even more important...

This plant is a bigger cousin of the previous plant trap. However most of this plant resides underground, with only thick leaves and a huge hole in the ground revealing its presence. Usually this plant has one large bell shaped chamber underground and two smaller ones beside it. The inside of the bells contains a pool of thick sap which acts as a glue, along with several roots that are immune to this glue. In worst case scenario, the girl falls into the mouth of this plant and ends up about waist deep underground. The plant tightens its mouth around her waist and her feet are stuck ankle deep in the glue-sap. If the glue can't hold her feet down then the roots start wrapping around her arches and ankles to further secure the meal. During this the two smaller bells launch their own roots, which wrap around her wrists/hands and drag them into the glue filled mini-bells.

8. Bigger is better? Not in this case...

The plant for this idea is simply a giant venus fly trap that lays flat on the ground. When the unfortunate girl walks across the middle a set of tongue-like roots spring up and wrap around the ankles as the mouth starts to close. The closing action is enough to cause problems for all but the strongest of people, but the ankle tethers keep the meal from slipping out before the mouth can fully close and drag its prey underground.

9. I knew I should've taken a left turn...

Speaking of size, this particular plant is massive. All along the surface there are little trap door entrances leading to a set of massive tunnels made out of nothing but plant flesh. Normally if you sink into quicksand, you'll end up in this natural grown labyrinth. The tunnels can stretch for miles however they aren't completely safe, as one wrong turn and the girl finds herself in a tunnel completely coated in a sap-glue. It doesn't stick very much at first but gets worse as the tunnel goes on. By the time the dead end is reached, the glue is so strong that lifting one's feet or removing one's hand from the narrow walls is practically impossible.

10. Smaller isn't exactly better either...

No mysterious or exotic plants in this trap. The catch here is that by some means (magic or science, take your pick) the girl has been shrunk to only a fraction of her normal size. When wandering through the grassy lawn, she presses her hands against a large blade of grass only to find it sap coated. As she struggles to un-glue her hands the roots from the plant start expanded to absorb more water; and much like kudzu, these roots latch onto her feet/ankles and wrap them up, considering her just a part of the natural landscape.

Security: The mother of necessity for inventing traps.

11. Simple is often best.

As a side note, this is probably one of the first trap ideas I ever had. Basically there are two small metal rods that come from holes in the ground and work as a motion detecting security trap. If anyone walks near these holes the rods spring out and shackles on the end of each rod lock around the intruder's ankles.

12. An old-fashioned bind.

Using a bit of old fashioned technology, this trap uses bamboo poles to construct a set of shackles around the adventurer's ankles and wrists. If this wasn't bad enough, the ankle bindings are tied with thick cord to a set of metal rings anchored into the ground, preventing her from just hopping away. This trap assumes the captured girl does not have a knife as the cord knots are covered in pitch, making them un-tieable.

13. Ancient Chinese leg traps.

This is an enlarged version of a chinese finger trap of sorts. They are large enough that a leg can be slid into them quickly but small enough that they are rather form fitting for the leg. Usually these traps are hidden in pits and chained to the sides, so whenever someone steps into the pit the traps tighten around their legs. Their legs cannot be pulled out of the chinese leg trap and since the traps are chained to the sides of the pit only a giant pair of scissors can come to the rescue here...

14. Our policy on security is crystal clear...

There is really a set of traps here but they usually go hand in hand so I'm putting them together. Both traps revolve around a perfect see-through sphere made out of shatter-proof crystal. In the wrist version, a hole is cut for the hands to go through into the sphere and a shackle brace is welded to it. When this shackle is padlocked shut, it traps the girl's hands inside of the sphere; practically rendering her hands useless for any grabbing or holding of items. In the ankle version, the sphere is cut in half with a hole cut for the ankle. Normally, the trap is triggered when someone steps on a floor panel. The panel sinks down and the two halves of the sphere come up and slide around the ankle. The hole is just narrow enough that she cannot slide her ankle out of the sphere, and since it is anchored to the floor she cannot move from the spot until someone comes along with the proper tools to pry this sphere-clamp off her foot/feet (if two are used).

15. Simple is often best, part the second.

This one is a varriant of the previous simple is best trap. However this one is laser sensor based. Whenever someone stumbles into the security beam a set of four metal arms with shackle clamps locks around the captured girl's ankles and wrists. These are used to transport the intruder to a holding cell instead of holding the intruder in place like the first version.

16. Caught in the Candy Factory

Eliza is Aio's friend, and Eliza knows that Aio is a Magical Girl. Aio's rival (Shida) has been tormenting her and Eliza with random pranks, finally taking a pair of heart shaped padlocks and locking Eliza's shoe buckles shut to where she cannot take them off. The rival then steals Aio's staff and tells her she hid it in a local candy factory (which is normally shut down on the weekend). Eliza comes along despite Aio's protesting. They get there and after a bit Eliza sees the staff hovering over a catwalk. She climbs up but as she reaches for it the staff falls out of the air and lands on a conveyor belt below. As Aio is climbing up, Eliza jumps down onto the conveyor belt to get the staff. However she soon discovers the entire conveyor belt is covered in a very stick taffy substance as she tries to pull the staff free. It takes several pulls but she finally gets it free as Aio reaches the catwalk. During this time, the rival shows up and conjures a special pair of magical shackles that lock around her wrists and ankles, making it very hard to move. Eliza tries to throw Aio her staff but realized it has some of the taffy from the belt on it, so it is now glued to her hands. The rival then summons two little creatures made of gelatin who wrap around Aio's ankles and feet, acting like gooey anchors. The rival floats over and flips a lever which turns on the conveyor belt Eliza is standing on. This belt eventually goes to a massive candy oven in the distance. Eliza sees this and tries to jump off, but finds her shoes are stuck very well in the taffy and can hardly lift her feet more than 4-5 inches. And since her shoes are padlocked shut, she cannot slip out of them. Also due to her hands being glued to the staff she cannot pull very hard on her legs to try and break free. The rival vanishes and Aio finds herself with a similar problem. Because of the magical shackles she cannot seem to pull her feet free of the gelatin creatures' hold and the lever is too far out of reach while the conveyor belt moves slowly towards the oven...

17. Red Rose, always hiding thorns.

This idea begins with Aio's encounter with a monster created by the emotional resonance leading from her pendant. This resonance bonded with a discarded rose and turned it into a mutated monster (Think a giant rose flower with teeth and a mouth in the middle with an upside down V shaped body consisting of a thick central stem and a kind of "skirt" of many tendrils it uses to crawl around and grap things. Aio seems to beat it back during their first encounter but it escapes into a near by park, which is heavily wooded. Eliza ends up going with her on the chase. At one point, Eliza thinks she sees something move and gives chase calling out to Aio to follow. Aio yells at her to wait but by that point Eliza is already out of sight due to the thick trees. Aio tries to follow but loses Eliza in the forest. After some stumbling around, Aio finds a large clearing. In the middle of this clearing she sees Eliza and calls out to her. Eliza says nothing and Aio walks closer, wondering why she isn't saying anything. When she gets a little closer, she sees Eliza has been bound by several plants. A large vine tendril has sprung up from the ground ans is wrapped around her face at the mouth line, acting like a gag (Eliza tried to bite down on it in defense but that proved to be a mistake as she can hardly mumble due to it's grip and gag-like effect). Her feet are caught in two cake-like plants with root anchors and her hands have been caught by two bell shaped plants anchored by large vines that have gripped her hands like a full hand shackle. Eliza tries to say or do anything to warn Aio with a fierce struggle but only manages to get one hand free of the bell's grip; which she uses to point to the ground and the to behind Aio. Aio stops, but only looks behind her instead of at the ground. The rose creature has come out of the tree line and starts moving towards Aio and Eliza. Aio takes a few steps backwards to try and get in a position to defend Eliza, but suddenly finds her feet stop moving. Looking down, Aio finds her feet have sunken ankle deep into a pool or sticky translucent green sap. She places her staff into hover in midair (she can do that to have easy access to it rather than laying it on the ground) and quickly tries to pull her feet free. While she's distracted, the rose creature starts leaning back, as though it were going to spit. Eliza uses her free hand to yank the vine slightly out of her mouth and manages to scream to Aio to watch out before the vine snaps back into gag position. As Aio looks up she sees a ball of the same green sap come flying at her from the creature's mouth. She raises her hands to try and defend herself but due to the speed this proves to be a bad idea. The sap ball hits her full on in the chest, which catches her hands as they were on the way back up. Now not only are her feet glued to the ground, but her hands are glued to her chest area, and no matter how hard she yanks they just snap back to her chest, making it impossible to re-grab her staff. The rose creature then sends two of it's tendrils underground. They pop up under Aio and wrap around her upper left right and around her right shoulder/armpit. The two girls struggle to try and free themselves as the creature begins to make its approach...

18. Candy Factory, Presia's Problem

Presia has had a few problems of her own during the candy factory incident, although hers is no where near as life-threatening. Like Eliza, poor Presia also took a spill off a high catwalk. Presia fell several feet and managed to land feet first. However she landed on a conveyor belt that has several large glass bottles that are anchored to the belt by metal claws. Due to really bad luck both of her feet landed on two bottles and her feet slid into them by the force of her fall. Not only are the bottle necks too narrow and act like shackles when she tries to pull a foot out, but the insides of the bottles are coated with a thin layer of very sticky cola, which acts like a glue and makes pulling her feet up to even attempt to slip through the bottle necks very hard. After some frustrated pulling, she yells and raises her arms in the air in frustration. Doing so results in her left arm piercing a giant gumball held overhead by a giant claw. The gum sticks to her arm and glues it inside the gumball like a bungee cord, pulling her arm back into the gumball when she tries to pull it out.

19. Aio didn't listen about falling asleep in class.

Aio has never been well liked by her peers due to her honesty and tendency to play judge/jury/executioner whenever someone harasses Eliza. So when she fell asleep during a late night detention her fellow classmates slipped off her shoes and placed a pair of red high heels on her with custom made ankle straps (since it is well know Aio doesn't like heels because she can't walk well in them). These straps can be pad-locked shut, making it so the shoes cannot be taken off unless you have the key. When the classmates leave however, the accidentally knock over a container of industrial glue, which forms a puddle on the floor. Aio is woken up when a creature starts attacking the school at night (she slept that long and the teachers aren't fond of her either, so they didn't bother to wake her up) and stumbles about in her new heels in the room having just woke up. In her sleepy state she steps into the glue pool and instantly finds her feet stuck, the sudden motion of stopping making her drop her transformation pendant. As the creature gets closer, Aio struggles against the glue and locked heels to get to her pendant, which is tantalizingly out of reach.

20. Why sneaking into a Weapon's Testing Lab is a bad idea.

During the later part of the story Aio and company have to sneak into a weapon's lab. When split up, Eliza and her friend discover the lab's security orbs. Which find a target, lock on with the four vise-like arms, and spray the target's feet with glue before eventually exploding. One of these said orbs targets Eliza and clamps on tightly, pinning her arms to her sides and coating her feet from the ankles down in the super strong glue. Eliza can neither free her arms from its grip nor pull her feet free as the explosive orb begins countdown...

The Curse of the...(Aka: Traps that appear out of no where.)

21. Curse of the Magician

This trap is usually sprung when the character is snooping around either an old stage or workshop of a recently deceased magician. When they step just a bit too far into this cursed ground, they'll find a set of three metal rings tightly wedged around each leg and each arm. On every limb, the three rings are linked together by two strands of chains which are then anchored to the floor and walls. (The rings are like those solid rings that they press together and they "magically" interlike and separate.)

22. Curse of the Rat

Much like trap #10, the character in this situation has usually shrunken down in size. During her wanders of the newer, larger world. She accidentally stumbles into a rat glue board, and eventually finds herself stuck ankle deep in the glue. As she struggles to free herself a vengeful rat sneaks up to make sure the person responsible for trapping so many of its brethren doesn't escape...

23. Curse of the River Trickster

This one is very similar to the Curse of the Rat, only in a change of scenery. The character is crossing a river that is about ankle/calf deep but very wide; not bothering to look for a bridge because they don't see any immediate danger. However the danger lies in trickster spirits, who turn the river to a thick glue right as she is crossing the middle section, making it impossible for her to either progress forward or retreat backwards. The glue looks just like water still, and is as cold. So if she doesn't free herself soon hypothermia could set in...

24. Curse of the Magician II

In the same location as the first Magician's Curse, this trap consists of an U shaped piece of blue metal hovering in mid-air. However usually many pieces of this metal travel together, like a school of fish. When anyone gets close they give chase and end up wrapping around the girl's ankles, upper legs, and arms. One ring encompases both arms/legs. When they fully wrap around a large red gem forms at the metal's closing point, acting like a gem-style padlock that keep the rings from being pried open and legging her go. With her arms and legs pinned tightly together she cannot escape as the spirit of the magician draws ever closer...

25. Even the ground is cursed...

When you see a patch of purple earth, usually the best thing to do is turn around and walk away. One lady did not heed this warning, and found that several dark purple root-like tendrils sprouted from the earth. These wrap around her ankles, pinning them firmly against the ground as others ensnare her waist, neck, wrists, an a section of upper arm, ensuring she will become a permanent part of the scenery.

Some Creepy, Some Crawly, Some Slimey, All Natural

26. It was just one spider he said...

The problem with spiders isn't so much their size or speed as it is the rather sticky and tangling webs they leave all over their home. As one girl found out, even if it's just one wounded spider chasing it into the den is never a good idea; for she soon found her arms and legs tangled in several rope-like strands of the scattered webbing which tethered her to the den.

27. Webs above ground aren't the only problem...

While this may not be a natural occurrence, this trap puts a "spin" on web making spiders. Instead of making elaborate rope webs, they instead dig a fairly deep pit and fill it to the brim with their webbing substance, turning it into a kind of gooey gel rather than a traditional web strand. For those who do not watch their step, they may find their foot suddenly has sunken nearly calf deep into the effective concoction. These pit traps may only engulf one or two feet where normal webs can catch all the limbs, but the strength and stretchyness of this "web pit" makes extracting one's foot/feet very difficult.

28. A little bit of dust, a few pinches of clay, top it off with water and you have...

Mud. This trap basically assumes that all the right elements for a very strong and sticky mud  have fallen into place, and the character was unlucky enough for her feet to sink into the substance. Between the natural vacuum and stickyness of the mud it practically acts like glue and refuses to let its prize go anytime soon.

29. Spiders aren't the only ones who make silk.

Another giant creature, however this one is the ever friendly caterpillar. In this case there is such a thing as too friendly. In this case the girl stumbled into a forest and found several large caterpillars in the process of making silk and proceeded to watch them and tried to pet them. When she extended her arms out a caterpillar turned and spit some silk in her direction, thinking she needed help to start a cocoon of her own. The silk engulfed her wrists and wrapped them together, while the caterpillar anchored the other end of the silk to a nearby tree. A second one also sprayed some silk at her feet, which wrapped up both ankles and draped over her feet like a net, anchoring itself to the floor. As the caterpillars left, the girl found herself trapped in the deceptively strong silk bindings.

30. The ants are marching....

Invading the territory of giant ants is never a good thing. When a girl finds herself in giant ant territory and is attacked by a local scout, she fends the ant off and makes a run for her life. However the scout sends off a warning message and is joined by another scout. The two ants burrow underground and chase the girl. Catching up, their jaws appear above ground (but only their jaws) and clamp around her ankles like vice grips. Caught in their grasp, the girl doesn't have the strength to pry their jaws up, and underground the ants can anchor themselves in to keep her from pulling them forward. If she doesn't find a way to free her ankles from this natural clamping mechanism the more lethal soldier ants will arrive...

Under da sea....Under da sea~ (Sorry...Little Mermaid on the brain. XD )

31. Bet the fisherman never expected to catch this.

The trap here is a cylindrical tube made with heavy-metal mesh, the top and bottom of the tube has a spiral opening that gets narrower as it nears the middle, which is chained to a heavy stone block keeping it from drifting away. This allows fish to swim in but not swim out. However in this case the girl who is swimming underwater ends up accidentally having her foot slip into one of the ends of this trap, and finds that not only is the trap good at keeping fish in but it makes foot removal rather troublesome...

32. If the girl wants pearls...

Ever diver's worst nightmare in cheesy old films involving water...giant clams. As this girl found out, when you see a massive pearl inside of a clam that is easly your size if not slightly bigger, swimming into it and pulling the pearl out is not always the best of ideas. In this trap, the clam clamps shut on either one or both of her legs from the knees down. So now it appears this pearl's first owner might already suffer a cursed end...

33. Just because you're not on land doesn't mean you're safe from plant attack.

Large strands of kelp growing from the ocean floor make up this trap. While swimming through them, the diver finds her wrists and ankles have had several strands of this kelp tightly bound around them (at least one strand of kelp on each ankle and wrist). This now effectively tethers her to the ocean floor as underwater she cannot produce enough strength to beat the roots anchoring the kelp, and they seem to not want to be easily untied...

34. Simple works best even underwater.

The classic underwater trap: A simply weighted net. Meant for mass fishing, this net was forgotten and left behind, undisturbed until a girl swimming underwater suddenly found her feet severely tangled in the mesh net. The tangles prevent the net from being pulled off and she lacks the strength to rip it. Complicating the problem, heavy metal balls are on the edges of this net, keeping it on the sea bottom and preventing her from just using her arms alone to swim to the surface.

35. From the frying pan into the sink...different but still not any more safe.

This trap bents the rules of reality a bit, but where's the fun in everything being realistic? ^_~ The scenario here is the girl is being chased by a heavy stream of lava from a recently erupted volcano. Just before the lava reaches her, she manages to reach the ocean and leaps into the water. Right as she reaches the deeper part of the shore the lava catches up, still having rushed forward through the water. The good news for her is the lava has cooled down so much it doesn't burn her. The bad news is the lava is now a thick goo that engulfs her foot and acts like a weight, dragging her down to the bottom. When she hits bottom the lava has cooled off so much that it is now solid rock, encasing her foot within its stony grasp.

36. Conveyor Belt o' Doom: Version 1

In this trap, the girl is wandering through a factory and goes into an area marked off as dangerous out of curiosity. Soon she finds a set of mechanical arms with shackle-clamps has locked around her wrists and lifted her onto a conveyor belt, still holding her wrists tightly. As the belt moves along, a set of machines constructs a solid metal block right behind her leg, about calf high. Then two metal clamps are welded to the block, one going around her ankle, one going around the middle of her foot, making it so getting off this crazy conveyor belt is now virtually impossible.

A parallel of Eliza's predicament back in trap number 16. When the girl wakes up, she finds her hands are tucked inside of a cylindrical hand warmer, and it's tightly wrapped in chains on the end which are padlocked in place. This keeps her from removing her hands from the arm warmer or using them for anything else. One badly misplaced step leads to her falling of a catwalk and onto a conveyor belt below. She lands safely, but the particular belt she landed on is lined with several trays of rat glue traps. The glue is strong enough to trap her feet in place, and the belt is slowly moving towards a furnace used to make the glue even tackier...

38. The cogs are always turning...

The character in this trap is a mechanic, running  maintenance on a machine that uses a system of large cogs. (The picture is really good for positioning references). The important cogs are two sets of cogs, 3 on the left, 3 on the right. Those three are interlinked with the middle cogs on each side very close to each other. They don't link, but their edges press together at the right time in the rotation. When not paying attention, the mechanic finds her leg snagged by the cogs and pulled into the middle (where the pink dot is). The shock makes her drop her wrench, which falls to a lower set of cogs and jams the machine. All the cogs stop, and the mechanic finds her leg trapped in the cog's graps that originally grabbed her, acting like a shackle. She  lacks the strength to move the jammed cogs, and since they are holding her leg/ankle prisoner she cannot reach the wrench that is just barely out of her finger's range.

39. Ventilation grates, pulling in more than just air and water.

In this setting, the industrial area has a long drainage ditch that is covered by several metal pipes lined up with small gaps in between to prevent people from falling into the drain. However this section has been abandoned for years and the pipes have become slightly warped and resized. The girl exploring this area finds out first hand when (while running from some monsters inhabiting the ruins) her foot slips in between two of these pipes. The pipes then settle and tightly pin her ankle in place, preventing her from pulling her foot out from between the pipes as the creatures slowly approach.

40. When a little spring in your step is not a good thing...

This trap is simply a set of over-sized springs that are welded to the floor, originally meant as a set of shock absorbers for the heavy machinery that used to sit on top of them. The machine is gone now, and only the springs remain. The girl exploring this area jumps off a small ledge and ends up landed with her legs going right now the middle of these two springs. The coils tightly wrap around her ankles and legs, resulting in an elastic shackle of sorts, as it stretches as she pulls but doesn't let her legs so (at maximum stretching she ends up bouncing up and down in place uncontrollably for a few minutes due to the tension force XD ).

That Troublesome Tail... (Note: These traps are meant for kitsunemimi "fox girls" and ryumimi "dragon girls" who have long tails, which can be caught in traps.)

41. Why the glass museum has a "no-mimi forms" allowed sign.

In this trap, the character is touring a glass museum abstract sculpture with her tail twitching about behind her. After on wrong twitch it ends up sliding through a random hole of a very large glass sculpture and gets wedged tightly in place. She tries pulling her tail free, and during one very rough tug the tail acts like a bungee cord and pulls her into the glass sculpture, at this point her feet slide into two holes in the glass at the base and now her ankles are caught in the same predicament as her tail.

42. Your body made the dodge check to avoid the projectile...but your tail didn't.

While trying to exorcise an old house of a bad spirit infestation, the girl in charge of the spirit removal invokes the wrath of a very unusual specter. Traveling through the walls, it managed to sneak up on the girl and uses three tendrils that are made of a glue ectoplasm. These coat her tail and ankles with a thick layer of glue, pressing them against the wall so she's glued to it like a piece of wall paper.

43. Sometimes the fact you dodged is only slightly better than being hit.

The weapon above was thrown through the air en mass at the girl as she fled a hostile village of natives. Most of them missed her as she disappeared into the stone canyon, however three of these pitchforks found their mark and almost pierced her. Thankfully she was uninjured. However her tail and ankles were pinned between the prongs of the three forks, each one sinking into the stone (the tips are really sharp) very deeply to where the "W" part is wedge in as far is it will go. The natives break off chasing but the girl is left with the three forks pinning her tail and ankles against the rock, and she does not seem to have enough strength to pull them from the rock.

44. The rare and always hungry Mimi-Eating Tree.

While wandering through the woods, the girl's tail is wandering about behind her as always. She stops for a short break and leans against a tree. When she presses against it, her tail slides through a large hole on one of the low hanging thick branches. She places her hand on the same branch which causes enough weight change for the branch to shift a little, making the hole just small enough that her tail is too big to be pulled out of it. While she struggles with her tail, the tree trunk behind her forms a pair of dark red eyes and a toothy mouth. It then reaches up underground with it's roots and wraps up her ankles tightly just as she turns as sees what is about to try and drag her in for dinner...

45. The pillar of security.

Inside of a ruin, there are multiple pillars with a single large gem on top of them. The girl knows better than to touch them, but can't help but to look closely at one. When she turns around, her large tail accidentally knocks the gem off the pillar. Instantly a large shackle clamp slides up from the pillar and slides over the tail, pinning it tightly against the pillar (originally designed to catch the arm of the would be thief). At the base of the pillar, two holes open up and a panel slides out from underneath her feet. Her feet drop down into a shallow pool of glue and thick brown tendrils slide up from the holes. These wrap tightly around her ankles and she cannot avoid them are pull free from them due to the glue. These tendrils begin to syphon the strength from her, making it more unlikely she'll escape with every passing minute.

Happy Holidays! It's a trap!

46. That's got to be one big bunny...

Being chased by a hoard of evil looking rabbits (Monty Python comes to mind...), the girl finds herself in a hilly landscape with a variety of giant eggs. Some made of chocolate, candy, ect. On a particularly rough hill she trips and stumbles down it, falling end over end until her legs slam into something hard and she comes to a stop. Regaining her bearings, she realizes what broke her fall was a giant blue egg. Her feet/legs have broken open two small holes and they have sunken nearly calf deep into the egg, whose center reveals it to be a giant bubble gum egg. The gum sticks to her legs and yanks them back in every time she tries to pull them out as the evil easter bunnies hop closer to her location...

47. It's good to be home for the holidays...or is it?

Having to work late on Christmas Eve, the girl walks home through a snow storm and finds an ambush waiting for her by younger siblings the moment she walks in the door. Some of them slide a Christmas tree base in her path which she steps in. They close the base around her feet and padlock it shut, so the hole is too narrow for her to pull her feet out of it. On the top side they have wrapped her arms tightly against her sides in Christmas light, and placed a halo on her head and two ornaments on her tail for good measure. Plugging in the lights, they then run off, leaving her trapped and apparently this year's Christmas tree.

48. The Santa Trap

In the same vein, the same siblings set a few traps to try and capture santa when he comes to take the milk and cookies, unknown to the older sister, whose job it is to play santa this year. Late at night after the kids got bored of waiting and went to sleep, she snuck into the living room and placed the presents out. Satisfied with her work, she walks towards the milk and cookies onto to find suddenly a large metal Christmas star has landed on her from above, pinning her arms to her sides. Stumbling from the shock, she steps into two small plastic containers filled with glue that are glued to the floor themselves near the cookie table. So now she's glued into the containers and cannot wiggle her arms out from the star, with no option but to wait for someone to come down 8 hours later and free her.

49. It's a scream on Halloween...

Walking through a pumpkin patch on Halloween night usually isn't the best of ideas. As when this girl does so a large pumpkin comes to life and starts chasing her through the field. Just when it seems she might reach the fence it sends two green tendrils through the ground that pop up at her feet, wrapping up her ankles and tethering her feet down. As she start to pull at the bindings two more pumpkins come to life and use their tendrils to start wrapping up her wrists, arms, and waist...

50. And you thought Charlie Brown had it bad.

Pretty much in the same section of why you should never fall asleep around mischevious classmates. The girl here has had her arms and legs tightly locked into a set of these valentine's styled bindings. The arms are kept close together by cords attaching the bindings to each other, the same goes for her legs. In addition, there is an extra set of cords attaching the arm bindings to the leg bindings, keeping her from reaching above stomach level with her hands. Which is problematic, because while sleeping they took some strong gelatin candy and melted it, then took a mold and let it form around her feet and ankles, effectively gluing her to the floor like strong Jello. It stretches and bounces when she pulls but doesn't let her feet go. It could easily be dissolved with a bit of water poured on it...if only she could life her arms high enough to reach the sink.

Curse of the Red Crystal Heels (A mixture of The Red Shoes and Cinderella's Glass Slippers)

Note: These heels will be a translucent red instead of translucent blue, and the heel part will be a bit higher.

51. I wasn't thinking it was "that" kind of prize...

The girl in this concept works in a casino which has just installed a new set of slot machines. Beside these machines is a low pedestal which has a sign pointing to it saying "Win Our Grand Prize!". On the pedestal is a set of translucent red crystal heels. As it's almost time to check out, the girl decides to try them out just out of curiosity. As she slips into them they feel tight but comfortable. However upon trying to remove them, she finds she cannot do so. The insides of the heels are coated in a very sticky red glue, and she can only pull her foot about half way out of the heels with the glue stretching tauntly before it pulls her foot right back into the shoe. During the struggle, two red crystal rods with shackle clamps pop up from beside the pedestal and lock around her wrists, pinning her hands in mid air. Apparently she has become the new "grand prize".

52. Reliving the Legend. (Inspired on the German version of Cinderella)

In this case, the girl finds a pair of these same heels in her locker after practice. She decides to try them on because they are so beautiful. However after walking around in them for a bit she finds they have suddenly grown ankle straps, which are tightly strapped around her ankles. There are no buckles or anything, so with no way to remove them she is now trapped in the shoes. Walking out of the school, she has to descend a large stair case, but halfway down finds she is unable to move. The steps have been coated with a thick black tar, which seized her shoes and refuses to let go despite how much she struggles and the tar stretches.

53. Reliving the Legend, part the second and in reverse (The Red Shoes story with a change, instead of always dancing she is always stuck in place)

Like 52, the girl finds the heels, puts them on, and finds a solid crystal ankle strap now holding them firmly on her feet. However when she is walking through a deserted hall the shoes suddenly sprout several thin red ectoplasmic crystal-like strands that burrow into the ground and anchor/tether the shoes. These bindings are quite strong, and she is unable to lift her foot more than four inches before the tethers snap her feet back into place.

54. You shouldn't ignore the shoes...or else...

Unlike the other girls, this one decided the sudden appearance of these shoes was too weird and decided to leave them alone. However this does not exclude her from her fate, if anything it has made the heels more vendictive. The girl retires to her laboratory, where he is using a machine to test arm and leg strength. It does so by her slipping a set of four rings on her limbs, one around each wrist and each ankle like a bracelet and anklet. They are tight but just narrow enough for her to slide in and out of them. Each metal ring has a cord welded to it which is then coming from holes in the wall. Whenever the cord is pulled, strength is measured and the proper amount of resistance is applied. While testing the machine, suddenly the heels manifest, forming the fused ankle strap form, however in addition a set of red translucent crystal gloves have appeared around her hands and are too tight to be pulled off. The thickness of the gloves and heels is enough that she cannot slide off the metal rings, leaving her trapped in her machine.

55. Saved by a hardware malfunction.

Same deal as 54, the heels suddenly manifest around her feet and ankles after being ignored. This girl however is a hardware technician working on a massive computer circuit, which encompasses the entire room. Like The Red Shoes story, these heels make her dance about uncontrollably. As she does so however, several computer cables that are bolted into the walls and floors wrap around her wrists, ankles, and waist. After a few minutes she comes to a stop as her limbs have been tightly tethered by all the cables binding her. This is a good thing and a bad thing. The good thing is she's stopped dancing, the bad thing is the tangles are so bad that even her forced struggles by the shoes cannot free her. So even if the shoes can be removed she probably cannot free herself from the cables...

Well...my themes project is completed. 50 traps...+5 extra for good measure. Honest I think they're decent for the first 20 then it all goes downhill from there. XD But I am my own worst critic. Here's to hoping this formats right. Do enjoy. :3 Feedback is always loved.

Something like that. XD I'm surprised how quickly I ended up writing these too. Only the first two of the Scarlet Dawn section I had written ahead of time. >.<; Everything else I wrote from scratch.
