Status of the Kingdom- Pt. 1
Along the stretching stone corridors flew the chimes of the evening bells. Each note carried quite clearly from one end of the castle to the other; aided on by the many rounded hallways carefully constructed for this very purpose. The rebounding sound startled many of the birds who tended to hide in any warm, unattended place to build their nests away from the typically chilly outside air. Some resisted and firmly refused to give up their roost against the ever present chiming for they had become accustomed to this particular clamor. Yet today even those battle-hardened birds took flight at the arrival of another echoing uproar; this one quite unfamiliar to any of them.
"Do your masters still feel the need to change the customs every time one of us visits their fine court? I surrendered my armor to you out of respect for the Four Lords. My right hand blade I surrendered as a sign of fealty and trust, a sign the Knights have always freely given to those we share this country with. Yet n

Ranmyaku Garandou is the leader of a band of "pirates" that plague the land of Kotengu and captain of her own vessel, the Mononoke (Specter). She began life as a samurai serving the Empress of Kotengu and joined their main military branch just as the war with their neighboring country Aidespar was beginning. Ranmyaku's unit was sent in on a scouting missing into enemy territory only to find themselves in a town whose reality was warped so far that the skies were cast orange and teal. They were ambushed by a horde of demonic creatures with Ranmyaku escaping into the woods in a severely injured state.
She escaped the demons but found herself snared in a hunter's trap and unable to free herself due to the injuries. As she lay in the forest immobile for hours the ground became tainted as the same Chaos that infected the village spread over the land. This

It was in the moment of that sickening realization that I realized suddenly that I was not alone in that room anymore. Looking up towards the doorway I saw the store owner standing there; the bloody apron still draped over her dress. I could not clearly see her eyes for several strands of hair had fallen in front of them, vaguely reminding me of Constable's own eye curtain. Her knife wasn't anywhere to be seen, which I took as a good sign. At worst it appeared I was about to get a lecture and lose my status as "good dog" in the eyes of one more human. Which I could easily live with. It wasn't until the unnaturally melodic giggle that I knew I was in far more trouble.
"Silly doggie. Mischievous doggie. You know doggies like you shouldn't be playing around in places like this right? You've been very, very naughty..." I found myself quite unsure which disturbed me more, her slightly disembodied speaking voice or that unnatural quivering her hair was doing.
As the wom

Only the rhythmic rattling of an overhead fan and the occasional clink of glass resounded in the bar that morning. Even though the blinds were drawn tightly shut small rays of light managed to penetrate through and provide a small form of illumination. Several tables filled the floor with chairs turned upside down upon their faces, each one arranged symmetrically as though on display at an art gallery. A row of seven chairs in the very back sat as a center piece to this unusual exhibit; lined up directly in front of the serving bar for customers who preferred to watch their drink being made. Or for those who wished to have a direct word with the host.
One of these chairs was currently marked for this purpose; a long brown coat signaling the seat's state of occupation. Despite being at the far end of the bar bits of light still managed to provide a miniscule form of illumination for the man seated there. It allowed him the momentary distraction of reading the ingre

Fleeting rays from dusk's glory illuminated the forest outside the steel carriage's window, albeit hard to tell one tree from another as all the green blurred into one amalgamation. Hanging slightly out the window and letting the wind pass over me with its cool caress always made the trip go better. Although hitting my head squarely on the window top for every pothole the Master managed to hit stole some of that pleasure. After the third round of this I withdrew my head and growled at him.
"Are you still half asleep? Most people try to at least go around the sunken earth, rather than intentionally put themselves through a carnival ride from hell."
The only response I received was a hand on the head with a small scratch on the right ear, followed by the usual cajoling manner.
"Easy Reaver, just try to take it a little while longer. Be a good boy and don't growl in my ear while driving, unless you want me to hit more of these blasted craters."

Kingdom Hearts III: The Search for Sora Chapter 1
"Is reality a dream, or is dreaming a reality?
The universe is full of answers, I only want one.
My question: Why me?"
Deep within the interior of a large black-painted building, there stood a mouse-like figure. At three feet tall, his face shrouded by a black hood, and only his tail exposed, he gazed out the window towards a scarcely populated area. The only way it could be seen were by the street lights dimly lit.
"We need a new bearer...", said a voice, behind the short mouse.
The short figured turned almost immediately towards the man hidden in darkness. From out of the shadows, the man stood only a foot out and thus could barely be seen.
''I know," the mouse figure spoke. "But the question is…"
"Who will it be?" the shadowed man replied quickly, making a mental note. "The heartless will be drawn to him… So that will make him easier to follow."
"Don't forget… It could be a girl."
The mouse-like figure turned around towards the window once more. It

Blue sky, white clouds, and a hint of desert wind from the east. All was calm, as if the entire universe were holding its breath. Then it exhaled. The sky erupted in a fury of orange, yellow, red, and green flame. A mixture of hellfire and rocket fuel, with a dash of magic thrown in for maximum damage.
Custom explosives were like that, Bombkatt thought, sitting in the Captains chair of the Jolly Dagger. Multicolored, sparkly, vicious. No matter the recipe, each bento bomb was unique. In her mind at least. Katt loved crafting her own weapons, and she was damned good at making them. It was a gift. Bentos, specifically, were her preferred weapon of choice. With the right Majeki inserted, they could even be used to entertain parties. Not these ones. These were made to kill.
The Jolly Dagger, Katt’s newly bought airship, cast a W

Craig awoke in darkness to the faint sound of whispers. He rose out of bed to notice a green hue resonating out of his bathroom. Craig reached over to his left to awake his girlfriend, Taylor. She wasn't there.
“Taylor, Taylor?” Craig whispered looking about the room for his partner. Another eerie whisper sounded from the bathroom the green hue growing brighter. It was as if a small rock concert was going on in Craig's restroom. Craig slowly pulled the covers from over his legs and carefully placed his feet on the carpet floor. Curiosity pulled him toward the restroom. He tip towed toward the light biting his lip and clenching his fist anxiously. He peered around the corner of the bathroom to see what the source of the light was. His eyes widened in fear when he saw Taylor standing in front of the glowing mirror. She stood straight and stiff. Her hair floated around wildly as if she was underwater and her eyes were white as rice. Her lips moved forming inaudible phrases whi

A boisterous, nasally voice spoke up. "Lights...camera...action! Hellooooooo galaxy! Desiree DazzleDaze here with the latest in interstellar news." She quickly twerked her butt implants back into place. "Breaking news. Are the Galactic Guardians finally beaten? Recent reports show that the Phantom has attacked the famed Admiral Jetson's cruiser. Not only was the hero killed, but the Guardians were late to the party...AGAIN. It seems the pony doctor's drones were a flop, and the GoldenHearts?.....No shows!" Her audience laughed and chortled away as she giggled with a snort. "It's bad enough that Queen Elsa threw a fit at her royal ball when another queen attempted to woo her hubby. Speaking of which, where has the king gone off to? Who knows, he may be running off with that curvaceous Madrisian queen. Careful Elsie, Mikie's slowly....but surely....dumping your icy

*In the kingdom of Mareheim, late in the morning, Mezmo and Salem stood before the Mane Six, including Spike, outside the palace gates*
Mezmo: Alright, everyone, since I lost track of time hanging with Prince Carson yesterday, I’ll be giving you a tour of the kingdom today. Hopefully, we’ll have just enough time afterwards to get ready for the ball tonight.
Twilight: We look forward to it, Mezmo. *to the others* Don’t we?
*The remainder of the Mane Six, Spike included, nodded with comments of agreement*
Mezmo: Awesome! So, where should we go first?
Twilight: I’ve been personally interested in your old home.
Mezmo: *uncomfortable* Uh… How about we save that one for last?
Salem: Touchy subject. Believe me.
Twilight: Oh… I understand.
Pinkie: Aren’t there any famous landmarks in town?
Mezmo: *snaps his fingers* Good idea, Pinkie! And I know just the one to start with. Follow me, please!

I immediately shoved the queen off of me and rolled out of bed. "Sirena!", I scolded.
She fidgeted with her nightgown and stuttered, "I...I...I'm sorry! I shouldn't have done that."
I stormed out of the bedroom and into the lounge. "Damn right you shouldn't have! What were you thinking?!"
"I was...erhm...checking up on you. Then I saw you kissing in your sleep...and I....I just had to feel your lips again!"
"Sirena, you're a mess.", I sighed. "Don't you EVER do that again!"
She hung her head in shame. "Oh Michael, I'm so sorry." She fell to her knees and began to sob hysterically. "I don't know who I am anymore!", she bawled.
Having lost my parents, I knew the feelings she was going through. I helped her up and into my arms. "Shhhhhh. Shhhhhh." I rubbed her back as she cried into my shoulder. "I know, your majesty. I know it hurts. But we're gonna get you throu
The Sofa - Part 1Jesse hoped this apartment wasn’t a bust like the last three. He and his future roommate, Rob, had waited too late to start looking, and all the decent, cheap places near campus were taken. So far, the two seniors had seen a place with a rat hanging out by the front stoop, a place where smoke smell had seeped into the carpets, and a place with obvious water damage and one tiny closet. Now Jesse was on his own because the only time the landlord was available to show the apartment was during Rob’s shift at the local coffee shop.
Things weren’t looking too good here either. The landlord had this weird nervous look about him. He kept fidgeting and stalling before they headed into the apartment. “Um, I just want to let you know,” the quiet man was saying, “one of the tenants is in the apartment.” Jesse didn’t see why that should be a big deal. “Um, please don’t mind him.” After that, the man finally led him up the stairs, fid

I flung open the doors and entered my castle. Anna leapt up from her seat, "Sis? What's wrong?" I hugged her tight.
"It's Michael. He's out of range and Loki....and...and..-"
"Slow down, Elsa.", worried the redhead. "Breathe. What happened to Michael?"
"Loki's behind everything. The attacks...the Phantom. All of it. He has a plot against Michael and now I can't reach him. I'm setting course for Dagobah, and I'm bringing him home." I broke free of my sister's embrace and raced upstairs.
"Wait, Elsa. This could be a trap!"
"I don't care, Anna. He's my husband and I'll travel to the ends of the galaxy for him." I looked at my wedding ring, gaining motivation from it. "I'll love him forever. For better and for worse. Anna, you are in charge if.....until...I return." I packed my bags

"Lights.....camera...aaaaaaction!", Desiree DazzleDaze danced her way on stage and into her cheetah-printed chair. "Helloooo my darlings! Desiree DazzleDaze here with your galactic gossip. Breaking news from the outer territory of Madrisia. Royal Rage? I think yes. King and Queen of Arendelle, Michael and Elsa GoldenHeart, are wanted fugitives! It seems that Queeny knew her hubby was evil...because she was in on it too. The word is they're on the run and Madrisia's under lockdown. The planet's new leader, Prime Minister Cortero, has declared a.......pause for dramatic effect.......drum roll please..........you ready folks?..........a FIVE MILLION Galactic Token bounty for each of them!" The crowd oo'd and ahh'd as she flashed the wanted posters on the screen. "Bounty hunters from across the galaxy are eager to get their hands on that cash, and will do whatever it takes to bring Elsa and Michael in, dead or alive. I'm here with two of them now." She swerved in her chair. "Tell me boys,
