Status of the Kingdom- Pt. 1
Along the stretching stone corridors flew the chimes of the evening bells. Each note carried quite clearly from one end of the castle to the other; aided on by the many rounded hallways carefully constructed for this very purpose. The rebounding sound startled many of the birds who tended to hide in any warm, unattended place to build their nests away from the typically chilly outside air. Some resisted and firmly refused to give up their roost against the ever present chiming for they had become accustomed to this particular clamor. Yet today even those battle-hardened birds took flight at the arrival of another echoing uproar; this one quite unfamiliar to any of them.
"Do your masters still feel the need to change the customs every time one of us visits their fine court? I surrendered my armor to you out of respect for the Four Lords. My right hand blade I surrendered as a sign of fealty and trust, a sign the Knights have always freely given to those we share this country with. Yet n
A brand new feeling-Quick Caption
“Ugh this is embarrassing.” Steven said walking the red floors of the Lampton hotel.
He and his buddy, Cole, were on their way to the private hut tub they had rented out for the weekend. But they weren't in normal male swimming attire. They were wearing bikinis that hugged their bodies and outlined their male instruments in abnormal proportions. Steven wore a red bikini and Cole wore a green one.
“You didn't have to agree with this pal. No one forced you.” Cole explained.
Steven sighed. “Why do you guys do this again?”
“Because if feels...you'll see. Did you spray the stuff on you?” Cole asked.
“Yeah I did.”
Steven threw his head up in the air. “Yes Cole I did. I sprayed down every inch of my body yeesh.”
“Alright alright just wanted to make sure. It's the only way this works.”
The boys approached the outside exit and walked onto the

“So, Rose… how has work been?”
“It’s been okay…”
“You don’t seem that cheerful… is everything all right? Something happen at work?”
It was late in the afternoon on a cold, fall day. Rosaline, a redheaded girl in her early twenties, was on a walk with her older brother, Blaise. He was a little taller than her, and had a slightly different shade of red for hair, but they were clearly siblings. Both of them were adorned by many freckles on their face and on various other places on their bodies. Both of the siblings wore large coats to keep out the cold air.
Rose had just finished her shift in the nearby bakery when her brother wanted to take a walk with her, to get to know how she was faring. She had only been in this town for about a month or so, after all. Maybe she’d start cheering up.
They were on a dirt path that headed away from the town of Ely. The trees weren’t that clos
Hedgehogs' Embrace Ch. 1 "Well, faker... It's your move."
Sonic sat up, sweat pouring from his face. He looked at his palms with a scarce breath and sighed. "Another one of those dreams..." He got out of bed and stretched, pulling back the blinds to see a bright sunny morning outside. A smile slowly perked before he yawned and headed for the shower. Afterwards, he shook his quills dry and got dressed, ready for anything! Or so it seemed.
"Wonder what Tails is up to..." He jumped down the stairs and ran out the door, heading for his best bud's workshop. Tails was outside, giving the Tornado a new coat of paint. His tails swished lightly as he moved from end to end, smiling when finished. "Hey buddy, how's it going?"
His friend looked over and smiled. "It's going good, Sonic. Just brushing up on the Tornado." He put the paintbrush into a holster on his belt and stretched. "How about you? It's odd to see you up this early." The blue blur's ear twitch

Damsel Hop Race"Gooooooood afternoon ladies and gentleman! I welcome you to the first ever Damsel Hop! I am your announcer Lou Dam!" An energetic plump male called as he sat in the announcer box.
"And I am your co-announcer, Dan Sel!" A tall skinny male said after his partner's introduction.
"If you are joining us here today, that means you heard about the exciting Damsel Hop race, where five special ladies over the age 18 are bound ever so tightly, forced to hop down a 100 meter field, which the first half is solid bare ground and the last half is grassed in, to reach the finish line for their prize!" Lou stated as the crowd cheered.
“The price being none other than a free year of Damsel Protection! A special service that follows damsels around and keeps them safe from those who would want to tie them up.” Dan stated, a needed service for all damsels.
“They will all be hopping for that one Dan.” Lou stated as the crowd had to groan at the bad pun making Lou clear his throat t

“It is one of life’s great conundrums. How can we trust ourselves, if we cannot trust our friends? And how can our friends trust us, if we can’t trust ourselves?”
General (ret.) Jigme Dorji Wengshuk
Harriet was floating. The room was warm and dark. The only light and sound was coming from a nearby crackling fireplace. She was drifting in the air, high above the scene below, inches from the ceiling, not a care in the world.
“There is a bit more in the bottle, My Lord, if you’re still hungry?”
Harriet jumped. She’d been vaguely aware of someone speaking before, but now she felt her attention being irresistibly drawn to the conversation below.
“Later,” said another voice.
The two voices were distinct. One was timid, squeaky, and fearful.
