Background: Alia was born into a family of Artificiers (people in this world who gather and manage ancient artifacts). However because of this her parents died when she was 14, lost in an accident on a ruin site. As a memento of her parents, Alia uses a set of wooden tonfas, the very weapons used by her late father. Despite this Alia applied for her Artificier license when she was 16, thanks to the training of her grandfather (whom she also lives with in place of her parents). After obtaining her license successfully, Alia met Zeron through her grandfather and became partners with him. It was during this time as well that Zeron gave her a silver pendant for her 16th birthday, a memento Alia never lets leave her side (she does the same with her tonfas) As an Artificier, Alia's family name is only well known because of her grandfather who manages the largest museum of ancient relics in the world. As an Artificier
Miss Mary Sue: Chapter 1
The spring air carried a warm breeze into the village. It was just humid enough to keep the warmth in the air. Flowers sat brightly in the small yards, by the little gardens where a few early plants began to poke their little green heads out of the earth. Near them were the wide, dirt-paved streets. Villagers ambled down them, enjoying the warm spring day.
Miskel and Tsara walked through the streets. Or, rather, Miskel walked like a normal, rational person and Tsara cartwheeled. Elda had sent them to the market to buy some fruit for lunch. Miskel had been given the money, since Tsara would probably drop it along the way while she cartwheeled or did something else.
Tsara’s short brown ponytail fluttered behind her as she executed a perfect backflip off a barrel, knocking it over.
“Be careful, Tsara,” Miskel scolded, “You’ll get yourself into trouble again.”
“Sorry,” Tsara replied lightly. Miskel rolled his eyes. Tsara was his twin sister,
UNSEEN protectorsDonnie watched as Mikey ran forward, flinging his arms open and grabbing onto one of Leatherhead’s arms as the large gator stepped through the doorway and into the lair.
In response the large gator smiled and chuckled; letting out a deep rumbling laugh before speaking in his raspy growling voice. “It is good to see you again little one. I was wondering if you’d like to help me with a few things I need to do?”
Mikey nodded enthusiastically. “YEAH!”
Leatherhead grinned down at Mikey for a moment before looking up and catching Leonardo's eye. The day before, the blue banded turtle had come to him and explained the situation. Now that they were going on patrols of the surface Mikey was beginning to show signs of depression and…..erratic behavior. Easily Leatherhead recalled how Leo had become choked up when he mentioned that Mikey had asked him what the sky had been like.
After over an hour of talking they had come up wit

Slowly he began to wake up. Groaning as he struggled to open his eyes. It felt as though something was pressing down against him, holding him down and keeping him from waking up. Around him he could hear sounds, people talking, machines beeping……..Mikey’s voice.
He fought against the weighted feeling, struggling and fighting, willing his body to move and wake. Slowly the world began to come through, lights, sounds, physical sensation; all of them began to slowly grow until…..
He blinked, slowly opening his eyes for the first time in……who knew how long. “M….m….”
He felt someone shift next to him. Slowly he shifted, tilting his head to look and find, “Mikey?”
Next to him his lover nodded, Mikey’s young face covered in a look of pure relief. “It’s me Leo. I’m here. I’m right here.”
He groaned. Feeling was starting to return to his body b

Winter, Year 760 of the New Age, Windborne, the edge of Gumtree Hollow
The morning was quiet and the wind was still - strange, for a day in the depths of winter. The sky was clear where there should be a thick carpet of grey cloud and there was no movement in the treetops or the grasses. There should be rain and thunder, the trees should be shaking themselves to pieces, and yet there was nothing. Only the sound of marching hooves.
The Alliance, a group held together by the thinnest of agreements, was marching. There were no fawns with them; this was not a migration, not a return to their former homes. Here strode soldiers and stormbringers, hardened warriors and powerful mages and their eyes glittered like steel.
Now, at last, they were

"Ow.......ow.......OW!" I groaned.
"Oh quit fussing and hold still!" huffed my wife, Elsa, as she adjusted my bandages. I had been confined to a bed for months ever since Magnus shot me. The result was some nerve damage that made it increasingly painful to move. The pain was decreasing, and I would be back on my feet by the end of the week. That was, according to Elsa, if I behaved. "And....there!" She fixed me up good and sat next to me. "How'
